Christmas Care Project - Holiday Blessings For Christians In North Africa
68The Voice Of The Martyrs Christmas Care Project
Christmas is a joyous time for Christians, as we reflect on God's blessings and celebrate our Savior's birth. But it can be a perilous time for many Christians, particularly those who live in regions that are hostile toward Christianity. As we make our holiday preparations and start our countdown to Christmas Day, we should remember those who are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ.
Prayer and support for persecuted Christians, and fellowship with them, are important throughout the year. They are essential during the holiday season, when many Christians experience increased persecution for their beliefs.
Uprisings have spread throughout the Arab world in recent years, and attacks on North African Christians and churches have greatly increased. As we pray for God's protection over our persecuted family in Africa, may they know Jesus in a deeper, more personal way this Christmas.
The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) helps persecuted Christians in Africa and across the globe, and we can join in the efforts. By sponsoring a Christmas Care Pack or Village Outreach Pack, we can encourage our Christian brothers and sisters at Christmas and beyond.
Christmas Care Pack
Would you like to bless a child this Christmas? Sponsor a Christmas Care Pack. For a $25 donation, you can give a North African child the basic essentials, such as clothing and toiletries, as well as colorful books and Bible stories to encourage his or her faith.
Each VOM Christmas Care Pack includes the following items:
- A backpack
- A new set of clothes
- Toiletry essentials
- School supplies
- Vitamins, treats, and toys
- Christian coloring books
VOM will distribute 10,000 Christmas Care Packs this holiday season. To sponsor a gift pack and bless an African child, visit the VOM website or follow this link.
Village Outreach Pack
A Village Outreach Pack will bless an entire village. A gift of $75 provides a small library of Christian resources to a pastor or missionary. These materials will help church leaders effectively share the gospel with those around them.
Each Village Outreach Pack includes the following items:
- Bibles
- Tracts
- Christian literature
- A DVD player
- Christian DVDs
VOM will distribute 3,000 Village Outreach Packs to North African pastors and evangelists, so they can learn more about preaching, teaching, and studying the Bible. To contribute to this project, visit the VOM website or follow this link.

Thanks for this information. I am praying for the children of all faiths to see the presence of God in each other, no matter what they call their religion or the Highest Power.
Annette, I meant to tell you that I won a tee shirt in their photography contest. It was my son reading the magazine to our little dog. I respect their mission and love for the persecuted church.
Thanks for raising awareness of the all the good works the Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) ministry does. I like how you zeroed in on a couple of their projects that are really connected to the holiday season. I voted this up, shared up and put a link to it on my Sunday School Resources blog. Keep spreading the good word!
I don't know. They did have it on Facebook and it may still be there.
Informative and worthwhile read

Annette, this is such a worthwhile project. Most of our children here in America have so much and so many others have nothing. Voice of the Martyrs is a wonderful organization and is undervalued and under recognized.
