Les and Leslie Parrott: The Love Doctors
Building Better Relationships
Everyone knows that communication is the key to all successful relationships -- from good, lasting friendships to happy, lasting marriages. But knowing and doing are two different things. This is why there is so much information and advice on the subject.
All couples struggle to understand themselves and each other, whether they are entering a new relationship or celebrating several years of marriage. Even Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott, who have years of relationship knowledge and experience between them, struggle with this issue. In their quest to find the type of communication that sparks an amazing connection, the Parrotts wrote Love Talk (and the Love Talk Devotional for Christian couples).
These are just two of many relationship books that were written by the Parrotts, a husband-and-wife counseling team. Their books have sold more than one million copies worldwide. For more on the pair and their books, read on.
Same Name, Same Passion
Unofficially called "the love doctors," Les and Leslie Parrott are today's leading Christian relationship experts. In addition to sharing a common name, the Parrotts share a passion to help couples build healthy, lasting relationships.
Les Parrott is a clinical psychologist and professor at Seattle Pacific University. On top of his writing endeavors and speaking engagements, he has served on support teams for many worldwide disasters including the September 11 attacks. Parrott is an ordained Nazarene minister.
Leslie Parrott is a marriage and family therapist, author, motivational speaker and columnist for Today's Christian Woman. Along with her husband, she co-directs the Center for Relationship Development at Seattle Pacific University. They are frequent guests on national radio and television programs.
Married in 1984, the counseling duo brings numerous real-life experiences and personal insights to their writing and speaking platforms. They are master communicators who deliver funny, thoughtful and practical advice for couples in all walks of life.
Their speaking engagements take them to various venues, from churches and colleges to board rooms and studios. Their books include many bestselling titles, including the Gold Medallion award winner, Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts.

This is an interesting spotlight on these two dedicated professionals. It looks like they have written some unique books on relationships that would be worth looking into. Voted up.
I went to a Christian high school and we read a relationship book by the Parrotts. I remember being fascinated with the two having the same name. The book was simply called "Relationships" - and well, the title sums up the book!
Great writing style and useful information on their publications. Thank you for sharing!
