Double Your Weight Loss

Now is a good time to reflect on the changes you want to make in the coming year. Whether your new year starts in January or September, your top resolutions are likely to be "lose weight" and "get in shape."

Weight loss is not a quick or easy process. Shedding pounds takes time, effort, and determination.

MyFitnessPal has several tools to help you take the weight off and keep it off for good. Best of all, they're FREE with an easy online registration.

MyFitnessPal is an online calorie counter, diet plan, and exercise journal. You're more likely to lose weight if you consistently track the calories that you eat and burn. According to some studies, record keeping may actually double your weight loss.

Successful diets and exercise plans encourage you to keep a food diary and exercise log. However, recording everything can be cumbersome, time-consuming, and seemingly impossible. MyFitnessPal can't do the work for you, but it can make your job a little easier.

Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to keep it off for good? Track your calories and your progress with MyFitnessPal.

Losing weight is hard work. Fad diets and rapid weight loss systems are not the answer. The workout equipment you see in advertisements and infomercials are often gimmicks. Only time, effort, and commitment to your goals will help you shed those extra pounds.

MyFitnessPal gives you all the tools you need to track the foods you eat and the calories you burn on your way to permanent weight loss. The website has a food journal, exercise log, message boards, and a blog with news and diet tips.

The site also has a recipe-nutrition calculator, basal metabolic rate (BMR) calculator, body mass index (BMI) calculator, heart rate calculator, and various badges and tickers for your personal website or blog. A handy mobile app keeps everything at your fingertips.

Thank you, Nicole! FitDay helped me track my progress a few years ago, when I lost weight through a low-carb plan. My husband and I are exploring MyFitnessPal to stay on track this year.
